a true Rotterdammer 'no whining just coloring'

Edwin is a true Rotterdammer. He studied at the 'Willem de Kooning Academy' but did not finish his studies and started working for various advertising agencies until he successfully started his own agency 'More Lemon' in 2008.

As for his painting, he is a late bloomer. He only started painting in 2020, just for relaxation. After a modest start with simple small still lifes, he quickly moved on to larger canvases. Here, he could better express his down-to-earth and honest view on various themes.

When you look at his latest paintings, you rightly suspect a underlying idea. However, Edwin leaves it to the viewer to discover and draw their own conclusion. This way, you can lose yourself in the beautiful and symbolic artworks where realism and emotion come together.
