edwin Sweep
Edwin is a native Rotterdammer. He studied at the 'Willem de Kooning Academy' but did not complete his studies and started working for various advertising agencies until he successfully started his own agency 'More Lemon' in 2008.
He is a late bloomer when it comes to his painting work. Only started painting in 2020. Just for relaxation. After a modest start where he started with simple small still lifes, he soon moved on to larger canvases. Here he could better express his down-to-earth and honest view on various themes.
When you look at his paintings you rightly suspect an underlying idea, but he leaves it to the viewer to interpret it. This way you can lose yourself in Edwin's beautiful and symbolic works of art, where realism and beauty merge into an emotional experience.
